Open Access Policies at IUPUI
IUPUI University Library's Program of Digital Scholarship supports open access to IUPUI faculty, staff, and student scholarship.
Open access policies are now in place at:
RETAIN YOUR COPYRIGHT. Many publishers are now allowing authors to remain the copyright holder of their work and/or to retain the right to use their own work in the classroom as well as to post in a digital repository. Authors simply need to ask for these rights. Use one of the following templates or addendum creators to easily create an addendum to submit with along with your publication agreement form:
- Addendum to Publication Agreements from the Committee on Institutional Cooperation
- Scholars Copyright Addendum Engine from Creative Commons
To find out whether a non-OA journal purblisher will allow you to deposit your article into IUPUI ScholarWorks, IUPUI's open institutional repository, search the SHERPA/RoMEO database by journal title. Archiving policies are listed in the journal's record.
If you have questions about adopting and implementing a policy in your IUPUI school or department, please contact us:
