Practical data management plans & planning

Description: This workshop will cover the basic sections of a functional data management plan, as well as practical strategies for planning to help you manage your research data more efficiently. These strategies include identifying ethical and legal obligations, using institutional resources, and getting support. This workshop is appropriate for students, staff, and faculty.

Keep your data safe: Storing & archiving @ IU

Description:  Funders increasingly view data as a valuable research output that requires careful management, preservation, and sharing (see federal funding agency Public Access Plans). Data storage, archiving, and basic documentation can address many challenges researchers face in reusing their own data or sharing it with others for collaboration. This workshop will provide researchers with good strategies for storing and archiving data using the Scholarly Data Archive (SDA).

Finding data for your research project

Description: This workshop will introduce you to tips and tricks for finding and getting data to use for your research. Along the way, we will talk about how to deal with common problems and show you how to cite the data you use. This workshop is appropriate for students, staff, and faculty.
